The Opportunity:
We are currently accepting Expressions of Interest for the roles of Casual Support Workers within our Disability Services team. Throughout Tasmania, we assist a diverse range of people within our Disability, Self Managed & Community Justice Programs. As a Support Worker within these programs, you may assist the people we support with various tasks such as;
- Helping them to engage with their local communities & culture through access to Community Participation Programs and recreational activities
- Assisting with, and coaching independent life skills such as cooking, cleaning & shopping
- Providing personal care such as showering, toileting and dressing
- Transportation
- Administering medication
What You Need to be Successful in this role?
- Previous experience supporting people with a disability
- Current drivers licence
- Current "Provide First Aid Certificate" (Or be willing to obtain)
- Be willing and able to work a rotating roster which includes afternoon, sleepover, public holidays and weekend shifts
- Medication administration certificate
Additionally, formal qualifications in Disability, Community services or welfare would be highly regarded, however are not essential
